REACH FOUNDATION - Brand Story
If you’ve ever had the chance to witness or be a part of a program facilitated by The Reach Foundation, then you’ll wholeheartedly agree that it’s a little too hard to put the magic that unfolds there into words.
Society can be quick to forget that being a young person is no easy feat. Trying to figure out who you are and feel comfortable in your own skin, but also fit in with the crowd is exhausting, especially in a world that’s now dictated by social media and all of the other superficial noise.
The Reach Foundation is run by young people, for young people. Their facilitators and crew effortlessly create safe spaces for young people (and adults alike) to experience raw human connection not just with others, but with themselves as well. The power of showing authenticity and vulnerability in front of other people helps create pathways for young people to practice open conversations, establish meaningful connections, and find courage within to be whoever they want to be. All of this is done with endless amounts of love and care.
Our team have been lucky enough to immerse ourselves in many of Reach’s programs over the years, and had the pleasure to spend some quality time with Senior Facilitator Jana, and crew members Caleb and Reagan. We sat down with these three incredible humans from completely different walks of life, to hear their story, the story of Reach, and how this groundbreaking organisation impacts the lives of young people every single day.
When Reach approached us to create their brand story, the brief was clear; To show the impact that Reach has on all young people. For us, it was no brainer - what better way to tell the story of the the Reach Foundation than through the lived experiences of young people who all started their journey there like most, with all of their walls up; to now be facilitating their own mental health workshops for the new generations coming through their programs. Their transformations are tangible evidence that schools and community groups need to get Reach in front of young people from a young age, to help empower them to be the best version of themselves.
To complement these stories, we’ve peppered in archival footage from the last three decades of Reach, including vision of Founder, the late Jim Stynes, whose mission was to inspire young people to believe in themselves and get more out of life, which is still being echoed in the work they do today.
